Extend your Pointer Pups experience with a two-day summer camp! Camp will focus on developing all volleyball skills. Proper technique will be emphasized and demonstrated by camp coaches, and campers will be able to improve their skills through participation in competitions and game-like drills.

Campers will be divided into groups based on age and skill level. Beginners and experienced players are welcome! Summer Pointer Pups is designed to be more personalized; camper to coach ratio will be 8 to 1.

Our camp staff cares about helping our Pointer Pups become better volleyball players, but we will focus just as much on developing our Pointer Pups into better people and teammates.

We are excited to offer a NEW one-day clinic in 2018 that focuses on growing and improving in your specific position! We believe that the best players are “generalized specialists” - players who are good at all skills but are also great at one or two skills. This camp is designed to teach players of all ability levels.

Setters, hitters, and liberos will get individualized instruction by position.
Position training sessions will utilize technology for immediate video feedback.
Campers will also have the opportunity to work together to practice their new skills.
Setters and hitters—come together and you can work on your connection!
Campers will participate in a classroom session with specific lessons and visual teaching tools.
Setters: Learn and train setting techniques and tactics, practice the leadership skills that are essential to be a successful, winning setter

Outsides/Rightsides/Middles: Learn and train attacking, passing, and blocking techniques, practice shots and attacking tendencies that will improve your hitting percentage

Liberos/Defensive Specialists: Learn and train serve receive, defense, and ball control techniques (with focus on the premier skill of reading)

UWSP Men's Basketball Shooting Camp

UWSP Men's Basketball is hosting a Shooting Camp on July 25-26 for boys in grades 5th-12th grade. It is a commuter camp, with camp running from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. Lunch is included in your fee. Shooting camp we will focus on the fundamentals of shooting: footwork, form and competitive shooting. Your pedals power great futures, so put rubber to the road for Boys & Girls Club kids!

This event brings family, friends, co-workers and neighbors together for a fun-filled ride through picturesque Portage County. Donations and sponsorships support the ongoing mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County to provide programs that inspire and enable our youth to realize their full potential.

You can get involved as an individual rider or as a team. Cyclists of all ages and abilities can ride one of four planned routes (4, 13, 20, or 62 miles). Hundreds of riders will pedal their way across the finish line and into the post-ride party of cool drinks, a sandwich, and activities for the whole family. Sign up today to support local youth.

1st Annual Youth GaGa Ball Tournament

Join us for our 1st Annual Youth GaGa Ball Tournament on Wednesday, August 29 starting at 5 p.m. A group of five children between grades 2-6 form teams to compete in the GaGa tournament. Teams can be gender specific or co-ed. Each team will play best of 5 games to advance to the next round. The tournament will be split into divisions with the division winner receiving an award and all participants receiving free t-shirts! Brackets will be complete and available to view the Thursday before the tournament. We hope to see you there!
